Yates County is recruiting for the following positions:

Insurance and Risk Manager

The work involves the administration of the County’s Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Plan (plan), and responsibility for implementing, managing and coordinating programs relating to occupational safety and health, claims, and insurance management. This is professional level work which requires planning, organizing, and evaluating risk of loss coverage programs (including self-insurance programs) to protect properties and facilities, physical assets, employees, and the public, from loss. An employee in this class develops programs in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, to reduce risk of property, casualty and workers’ compensation loss. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Personnel Officer with latitude for independent action and initiative in the area of occupational safety and health, claims and insurance management.
