Food Stamp Program

Food stamps help families with low income to buy food.

Nutritious food is important for your health and the health of your family.

If you have low income, you may be able to get food stamps. If you own a home and/or a car, you may still be able to get food stamps.

You may qualify if you have

child or elder care costs

 pay child support

or if you are elderly or disabled and have high medical expenses.

You may get food stamps even if you receive Social Security, Supplemental Income (SSI), and/or retirement benefits.

You may qualify even if you are living with others.

If your cash assistance closes because of increased income, ask if you are still eligible for food stamps.

You will get a plastic card that will allow you to get your Food Stamp benefits.

The only way to know if you can get food stamps is to apply.
