Diversion Program
PINS
means "Person
in Need of Supervision"
This is a
youth/family focused service that is provided to families to prevent
the child being brought into family court. This service is available
to youth under the age of 18.
In Yates
County this program is operated by both the Yates County
Probation Department and the Department of Social Services. Referrals
are made on youth who are exhibiting negative behaviors, such as:

away

not
obeying parents
|
|
experimentation
with drugs/alcohol
|
|
disruptive
at school
|
|
not following
school rules
