The Yates County Department of Social Services is under the leadership of Commissioner Nancy L. Gates.  The Agency employs approximately 42 staff who strive to serve the needs of the Yates County community. We offer a variety of programs and services to help individuals and families.

Agency Office Hours:  NOTE: NEW HOURS- starting March 1, 2005
Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Closed most legal holidays. 

After normal business hours all  emergency needs are handled thru the Yates County Sheriff's Department at the 911 emergency number. 

Summer Building Hours (July and August) are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
