Chase cemetery

This is the family burial ground used by Stephen and Persis Chase to bury their daughter. After her death they sold the farm and they themselves are buried in the Westfall Cemetery near Phelps. The tiny plot was also used by others, though only the stone of Lucinda Chase is still intact.

The plot is on private property. It is overgrown by lilacs and still surrounded by its stone wall.

It has usually been named for the owners of the farm that surrounds it, and earlier lists call it after the Armstrongs or Ledgerwoods, as well as the Chases and Auderkirks.
