      In Barrington on the 25th ult. by the Rev. M. P. Lamb , Mr. Alanson Boyce of Barrington , to Miss Mary Mastin of Auburn .
      By same in Barrington on the 1st inst. Mr. Jesse C. Knapp to Miss Rachael Marie Hopkins , all of Barrington .
      In Potter on the 1st inst. by the Rev. E. F. Crane , Mr. Isaac McKan to Miss Margaret Hopkins , all of Potter.
      In Palmyra on the 1st inst. by Mr. Smith Esq. Mr. Moses Whitney to Miss Delight Curtis , all of Rushville.
      In this village on the 31st ult. by S. Stevens Esq. Mr. David Griswold to Miss Hannah , daughter of John Pruner, Esq.

Tuesday, February 25, 1840

      At the last session of the Court of Common Pleas held in this county, the following persons were convicted of criminal offenses and sentenced to the Auburn State Prison. John Wilson , alias George Johnson , for burglary, five years. This individual is an old offender, and it is (as we are informed) the fourth term of his imprisonment. He has served under different sentences for fourteen years. His last term expired on the 22d of January last, and he was returned on the 22d of this month. “Home sweet home, &c.”
      Justin Wheaton , convicted of petit-larceny, second offense, sentence two years imprisonment.
      Neuman Parker, grand larceny, do. Two years.

Married -In Benton on Sunday Evening, December 13th by Rev. W. P. Davis , Mr. Andrew Boss , merchant of Pulteney, to Miss Sarah , daughter of the Hon. Abel Peck of the former place.

Tuesday, January 5, 1841

Married - In Jerusalem , on the 17th ult. by Rev. Ovid Miner , Mr. William Van Deventer , of Benton , to Miss Elizabeth , daughter of John I. Durry of the former place.

      In this village, Friday morning, by Rev. Mr. Minor , Mr. Chas. E. Silsbe , to Miss M[    ] Dewey, both of Geneva .
      On the 2[ ]th ult. at Groveland, Livingston Co. James G. [    ]ley, to Elizabeth P. Fitzhugh .

Died. In this village on Sunday the 11th inst. George W. only child of Isaac and Letitia Clarke , aged 15 months.

      In this village, on the 17th inst. William W. Shaw , aged 24 years.
      In Milo , on the 14th inst. Jane, wife of the Rev. S. S. Lanning , and daughter of Gilbert Baker, Esq.
      In this village, on the 6th inst. Frances Arabel , daughter of Melzer Tuell , aged 18 years.
      In this village, on the morning of the 12th inst. Jeremiah Jillett, Jr. aged 47.
