The following capital improvement, bridge and maintenance projects are scheduled to be done in 2023. Completion of all projects is contingent on the availability of funds as appropriated by the Yates County Legislature and the current pricing of all necessary materials including oil and asphalt based materials needed to complete the projects. Expect delays and travel will be limited to one lane through the work zones. Alternate routes are suggested if you wish to avoid delays.

Capital Improvement Projects

• Asphalt Milling activities that will commence on approximately May 8, 2023 on the following roads may cause delays:
  
  
  • CR #8, Bellona Station Road (2.66 miles): The project will consist of milling off 3 inches of existing pavement and placing 3.5 inches of new hot mix asphalt binder and top course. The work on Bellona Station Road will take place from State Route 14A to Pre-Emption Road (CR #15). Recycled millings from the project will be used to install shoulders. Traffic control lane striping will be completed by the Tri-County striping truck owned by Yates, Schuyler and Steuben counties. 
    
  • CR #2, Ferguson Corners Road (2.71 miles): The project will consist of milling off 3 inches of existing pavement and placing 3.5 inches of new hot mix asphalt binder and top course.  The work on Ferguson Corners Road will take place from State Route 14A to the Ontario County Line. Recycled millings from the project will be used to install shoulders. Traffic control lane striping will be completed by the Tri-County striping truck owned by Yates, Schuyler and Steuben counties.
    
  • CR #11, Chubb Hollow Road (6.65 miles): The project will consist of milling off 3 inches of existing pavement and placing 3.5 inches of new hot mix asphalt binder and top course. The work on Chubb Hollow Road will take place from State Route 14A to Himrod Road (CR #1). Recycled millings from the project will be used to install shoulders. Traffic control lane striping will be completed by the Tri-County striping truck owned by Yates, Schuyler and Steuben counties

Maintenance Projects

Short, site-specific delays will occur on various roads while crews perform routine road and bridge maintenance activities.

• CR #13, Six Corners Road: - Entire Length
