[ARCHIVED] The Great American Smokeout

Tobacco- Quit-12-2017

Quitting smoking isn't easy. It takes time. And a Plan.  You don't have to stop smoking in one day. Start with day one. Let the Great American Smokeout event on November 15th be your day to start your journey toward a smoke-free life. You'll be joining thousands of smokers across the country in taking an important step toward a healthier life and reducing your cancer risk. Plus, the American Cancer Society can help you access the resources and support you need to quit.

Quitting starts here.  Yates Local Law 1-18 prohibits the use of tobacco and other like products/substances on any Yates County property as of January 1, 2019.

This law was passed to encourage and protect everyone's health and well-being.  With this change, all who come to Yates County properties will be expected to comply, making it necessary for anyone who uses tobacco, E-cigarettes, and other like substances to go elsewhere to use tobacco/nicotine products or to Quit. If you decide to quit, many options for help are available. This step can be one of the best decisions of your life. Taking charge and control of your life rather than allowing a substance to control your behavior and thinking is real FREEDOM!
