EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY - Yates County State of Emergency

Building Hours Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Department Schedules as of 6/8 @ 10:00 AM

Board of Elections 315-536-5135 - The office is open by appointment only.

Buildings & Grounds – The department is cleaning and sanitizing hourly.

Community Services – 315-536-5115 - The office is open with a limited staff.

County Clerk 315-536-5120 – The office is open.

County Treasurer – 315-536-5192 - The office is open.

County Administrator – 315-531-3210 - The office is open.

District Attorney – 315-536-5550 – The office is open from 9:00-4:00.

Department of Motor Vehicle 315-536-5528 – The office is open from 8:30-4:15 by appointment only.

Department of Social Services: Food Stamps, Public Assistance, HEAP, Medicaid – 315-536-5183 – The office is open from 9:00-4:00. Per state issued guidelines, all in-person interviews including applications and re-certifications are waived.  Information will be primarily gathered over the phone.  Work requirements for Temporary Assistance and Food Stamps are also waived.  Applications are available by mail for all eligibility programs, or apply for Food Stamps and HEAP online at www.mybenefits.ny.gov.

Department of Social Services: Child Support 315-536-5183 - The office is open from 9:00-4:00. Child support orders are continued to be processed.  Child Support Payments from non-custodial parents are still being accepted, however, it is preferred that payments are sent through the mail or call ahead for an appointment to drop off your payment.

Department of Social Services: Children/Adult Services – 315-536-5183 - The office is open from 9:00-4:00. Child and adult protective reports continue to be received and investigated.  The office is following guidance issued by the Office of Children and Family Services regarding a reduction in unnecessary visits to homes and following the recommended screening procedures before any home visits.

Highway – 315-536-3200 – The office is open Monday-Thursday from 6:00-4:30. The department is performing their normal work with a limited staff.

                       

Historian – 315-536-5147 - The office is closed temporarily until August 3, 2020 or until further notice

Legislative Office – 315-536-5150 - The office is open with a limited staff.

Office of Emergency Management – 315-536-3000 - The office is open.

Planning – 315-536-5153 - The office is open with a limited staff.

Personnel - 315-536-5112 - The office is open with a limited staff.

Probation – 315-536-5155 – The office is open from 9:00-5:00 with a limited staff.

Real Property 315-536-5165 ext. 1 - The office is open with a limited staff by appointment only. Appointments are set up in 15 min intervals 8:45-4:00. Please call or email [email protected] to set up an appointment. You will be required to sign-in, complete a health assessment, and wear a mask. Business by e-mail or phone is still strongly encouraged.

Public Health – 315-536-5160 - The office is open from 8:00-4:00 by appointment. Please call or email [email protected] to schedule.

 

Sheriff – 315-536-4438 - The office remains a 24x7 operation in all divisions (police services, 911, county jail, civil, court security) with civil division at 50% staff.  All jail visitation is suspended and there is limited CAP court use.
