[ARCHIVED] Garbage and Recycling drop off site in Jerusalem

Town & County Officials,

In this Covid-19 time period we have decided to close our outlying drop sights in Benton, Potter, The Village of Dundee, and Reading Center for the safety of the public and our employees. We have kept our main location at 635 Shannon corners Rd , Dundee NY 14837 OPEN M-F 8 am to 4 pm Sat 8 am to 12 pm. Our customer contact is being limited through the use of a window to improve our safety procedures and promoting less person to person interaction.

Cardinal has seen a sizable influx of patrons at the Shannon corners Rd location, but it has been spread over 6 days which has helped to conform to the social distancing method.

Concerns have been raised about patrons not being able to make the trip to Shannon corners.

We would like to make a consolidated drop sight available for the residents that are not able to make the journey. The site would be located at The Town of Jerusalem Barns on the Guyanoga Rd. This site would serve as the “Yates county North” location, with Shannon Corners Rd being the “Yates County South” location.

Cardinal Disposal will provide all equipment to facilitate the drop site including an attendant, trash truck, single stream recycling roll off boxes and rear load dumpsters for cardboard.

Cardinal Disposal will be financially responsible for all transportation and disposal of materials.

Last month Cardinal Paid $104.00 per ton of Single Stream Recycling, while strait cardboard leveled off at $0.00 Per ton. We transport this material to Casella in Ontario County.

We would like to charge the following prices for by the bag trash disposal:

$2.00 1-13 Gallon Bag white/clear

$4.00 14-30 Gallon Bag black/clear

$8.00 31-55 Gallon Bag black/clear

Recycling would remain “Free”

The “Yates County North” drop site would operate on Saturdays from 8 am to 12 pm weekly until further notice. In such a case due and timely notice will be given.

If all parties are in agreement, please respond to this email in the affirmative. If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to email as well.

Thank You for your attention to this matter.
