COVID 19 Vaccine Information

Moderna vaccine

Bivalent COVID-19 Vaccine Information.

CDC updated COVID-19 vaccination recommendations in May 2023 as the monovalent vaccine is longer available. Bivalent COVID-19 vaccine will be used for all vaccinations whether it is your first dose or an additional dose. CDC recommends everyone 6 years and older to get 1 bivalent vaccine to be considered up to date. People aged 65 and older may get a 2nd dose of bivalent vaccine if it has been at least 4 months from your previous dose.  People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get an additional dose of bivalent vaccine. Children aged 6 months - 5 years of age may need multiple doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be up to date including one dose of bivalent vaccine, depending on the number of doses they've previously received and their age. If you are interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine, please check with your doctor or your local pharmacy.  Yates County Public Health is not offering COVID-19 vaccinations at this time.
