This week Governor Cuomo issued an Executive Order expanding
access to NYS pharmacies to immunize children ages 2-18 years against seasonal
influenza. If your child has not yet received a flu shot and you want him/her
vaccinated this flu season due to widespread flu in our area, check with your
child’s physician first to ask if that office has influenza vaccine. If it is
not available there, then call your pharmacy to ask if they are vaccinating children
under the age of 18 years. By calling first, you can save time and travel arranging
vaccination for your child.
