Sharing your health story can help improve the overall health of Yates County. Yates County Public Health and Finger Lakes Health are asking Yates residents to share their health stories through a survey that has been distributed by Common Ground Health, the Finger Lakes region's research and planning organization.
It is time to make your voices heard. We want to listen to you, our community residents, voice your experiences and concerns that can help us understand and focus on what you consider the County's serious health-related needs. This task can be accomplished in a few ways.
First, we ask you to complete a 15-20 minute survey. The most efficient way to do this in on-line with a computer, tablet, or smartphone. If you do not have access to these forms of communication, contact Yates County Public Health at (315) 536-5160 and you will be provided another method for completing the survey. We need as many residents in Yates County as possible to complete the survey to draw attention to the areas of concern you believe are most important. With your information, we can help develop programs and policies that can impact health and safety problems in the community. The survey is available in both English and Spanish.
Second, later in the year, when all the survey questions have been reviewed, focus groups with community residents will be organized to help clarify the most important needs of our Yates community. With that done, we can begin to look at programs and policies that can help make the changes we need to move ahead toward a healthier community.
