My name is Kerry Brennan and I am the Yates County Personnel Officer. The Personnel Office is staffed with the Personnel Assistant, Karen Bradley and myself. A Personnel Office is similar to a Human Resource Office, but because we administer Civil Service to all municipalities throughout the County who employ public employees we take on the title of Personnel. We not only administer Civil Service, but we handle all Human Resource aspects for the County, including but not limited to Benefits Administration, Employee Training 

I was born and raised in Yates County on a Cash Crop and Beef Farm located about 7 miles outside of Penn Yan. I am a graduate from the Penn Yan School District and I obtained my Bachelors of Science Degree from Elmira College. During and after College I worked in a local restaurant(s), until becoming a Human Resources Coordinator for the private sector. Then in 2011 I was hired by Yates County Sheriff, Ron Spike as the Assistant to Sheriff. And finally, in 2015 I accepted the position as Personnel Officer. I am not only blessed to be able to have the opportunity to work in the community I grew up in, but I get the opportunity to interact and get to know other members of our community.
